Under new ownership since February 2015, ‘The Engine’ retains a traditional feel with comfy leather sofas round the wood burning stove and relics of its mining and agricultural past around the bar. The bar also has a pool table and dartboard. The pub is child friendly with a wooden pirate ship play area to the rear and dogs are also welcomed.

The landlord and landlady, Adrian and Karen offer a range of lagers, ciders, wines and local Cornish Ales, as well as regular guest ales from breweries from further afield. In 2015 we were awarded Cask Marque accreditation for our ales and have a 5 star hygiene rating for our kitchen

The Engine Inn Bonfire Night. . .

Locals and visitors alike can join us for a range of home-made Pies and the popular Quiz which raises money for local charities (hot bar snacks rather than pies are available during winter months).

Monday is P's & Q's Night . . .

When talented local musicians gather to play together informally and chill out.

Tuesday is Acoustic Night . . .

is 'OPEN MIC NIGHT'  which starts at 9pm.

Last Friday of the month . . .

At The Engine Inn we pride ourselves on showcasing a great mix of music and talent to suit all tastes, including Blues, Rock, Folk, Country, Rockabilly, Punk and Poetry so there are other live music events featuring local bands and artists and even those from further afield, especially on Fridays or Saturdays during the summer months. Live Music, Fancy Dress and Disco

Our Halloween Party is a popular favourite at The Engine. This year our theme is called 'Lost Souls and Dead Souls with Heavy Souls' - Live Music, Fancy Dress and a Disco. Times and more details to follow. There will be no food service on this night.

Fireworks, Bonfire, BBQ and Beer

Last year was a spectacular display lasting about 45 minutes with a huge bonfire and sparklers available. Food, sweets, toffee apples and drinks available outside. With full bar inside to grab a pint or two. There will be no food service on this night. More details and times to follow.
